Details:
Hi, I''m Paul Garner. I grew up in New Zealand but I live in London these days. I play guitar for some of the UK''s top traditional blues bands, such as "West Weston''s Bluesonics" and "Oo-Bop-Sh''Bam". This is the first album with my London band, and a fine bunch of musicians they are.

We have Claudio Corona, from Sardinia, one of the finest Hammond organ players I''ve ever heard. He also contributes some accordion, vibrandoneon (look it up!) and other interesting sounds. Jason Ribeiro on drums and percussion. John Allan, from Scotland, on double-bass. Funky double-bass, there''s nothing better!

You can tell this isn''t your typical blues album, because I''m not posing with my Strat on the front cover. Also, I don''t wear a cowboy hat/zoot suit or have a ''blues'' name. On the other hand we do cover two tunes made famous by Muddy Waters. I hadn''t originally planned to do any covers but these radically reworked versions proved so popular at out live gigs that everyone was asking if they''d be on the album.

The other nine tracks are all originals and cover topics such as: finding love, losing love, the ever-present demons, looking for love, the evils of empire, making love, breaking love, musings on philosophy and travel.

The CD itself is beautifully presented in a six-panel digipak, with a die-cut sleeve and a full-colour 16-page lyrics booklet. In other words, you get your money''s worth. In fact, other CDs on your shelf will probably hide in shame when this arrives.
