MP3 The Christines - Eyeballs of 1998

Melodic, psychedelic, new romantic sounds with driving beats.

3 MP3 Songs
POP: New Wave, ROCK: Psychedelic

Details:
After moving from Denver to San Francisco in 1997, The Christines began writing material to follow up their well-received 1996 full-length CD Living At The Bottom Of The Sea. The new material took a different turn with more forceful vocals from singer Michael Kirschmann, and a mood less shoegazer and more mod/new romantic. Farfisa organ is prominent on all three tracks, propelling the opening cut "You Were The One" and adding melody throughout. The closing cut, "Cursing The Graverobbers", is reminiscent of "Sadie Should''ve Said" and "In My Dead World" from the band''s self-titled 1994 debut CD, featuring many different movements and a jangly electric 12-string rich with delay.
This is a CD-R, as it has not previously been printed or distributed in large quantities. The CDs are labeled and jewel cases are full-size, containing artwork and complete lyrics.
