The Field Recordings have been described as having "the raucous calamity of The Clash combined with the Socio-Political & observational lyrical subject matter of the Talking Heads." They create an original, Garage Rock sound while keeping dance rhythms in mind. They are out to use language and music created by physical movement. They also have a Stage Concept they plan to unveil in the coming months, which includes a Scientific slideshow presentation of their Photographic Evidences, Earned Observations, and Live Tribal Dances. The performance will be complete with Lab/Safari costumes and institutional demeanor.
Their first, self-titled & self-released EP was recorded in April of 2008 by Ian Ainley. The cover artwork was drawn for them by James Hindle.
