Details:
This is the continuing story of an ever-evolving sound that is created when we have chosen to play under the name W. Having been part of this vision for years I can say that despite all the hard times there is nothing else I''d rather be doing then playing music with these people and being around our amazing family and friends.

The album ''Free here now'' is an expression of all that we have experienced over the last few years coming to that conclusion. From elation to deflation, from total faith to disillusion breaking through to reality, from total confusion to incredible clarity and every feeling and emotion in between.

This album is a collection of songs/prayers we recorded with the help of some great people who have shared in the W vision. It is our hope that by making the music we love, nature may resonate with other souls around the planet and beyond and help in any way to unite us all in living for love.

The story that has brought us to this point in our lives has been quite the roller coaster ride. It all started with a dream shared by my brother Kevin and I when we were in our late teen''s growing up in Dublin. We had just started playing guitar and writing songs when one night Kevin turned to me and said, "I think God wants us to be involved in music." At this stage we had only a few songs and had only played to friends and family. Yet I will never forget the sense of calling once that had been spoken.

At first I wanted to reject it as a pipe dream but his words just stayed with me and over time the truth of that calling has manifested in the light of many challenges to a level that has amazed us both. I don''t think that either of us thought that it would be ten years before we recorded our first album but I think everyone in the band has valued the opportunity to grow musically and spiritually without the kind of pressure that can often spoil things that needs time to mature.

Djembe ( an African handdrum ) has in particular played a big role in developing our rhythm foundation. It''s defiantly one of the most popular of African percussion instruments here in America and you will see djembes at drum circles up and down the country. A whole new wave of the hand drumming movement is breaking out in communities all over the world. It''s exciting to see how much joy a few minutes of hand drumming can bring a person who is trying it for the first time. I remember how good it first felt when someone cared enough to give me a go at it. I''ve been playing djembe now for five years and I''m hooked. I''m a complete rhythm freak. I just love to drum and I know that sentiment is carried by all the members of our tribe.

PS. We know there are many brothers and sisters out there who feel as we do about the importance of doing all we can to protect mother earth from destruction as a result of greed. We encourage everyone to make wise choices in relation to the environment or we won''t have a planet to live on much longer. One lesson we have been learning as a band and as brothers is how little we need to be truly happy. Although we have been penniless musician''s on many occasions we have felt like the richest people alive thanks to the gift of each other. If everyone realized this we would have no desire to plunder the earth. We would seek ways to work in harmony with her. We have all played our part in this misuse of our Earth''s resources but it is equally possible for us all to play a part in providing a future for our children and ourselves. It''s not too late to set ourselves free from material attachment. Our souls are eternal and will continue to call on us to let go of temporal things until we are all one and at peace. In the words of Albert Einstein, "Materialists mistake that which limits life for life itself." We are not advocating a life of poverty but we all know there''s a part of us that wants a lot more then is necessary to be fulfilled. If you have it share it. If you don''t, know it''s not the source of true happiness. In the words of another great genius of our time, "All you need is love."

PPS. Please avail of our free MP3 file. The song ''Intangible'' we chose to give you a taste of the W vibe. It''s one of twelve songs on the album ''Free Here Now'', which can be purchased directly from this site. Thank you for taking time to read about us.

One Love.

David.
