The Sons of Faith have been together around nine years. The group started with a few members who traveled the secular route and eventually were called into the service of the Lord full time. As happens with most musical groups, members drifted in and out. Several years ago, the group seemingly dwindled down to a couple members. It was as if the Devil was at work. On the other hand, what often occurs is the "reason for a season" phenomenon. Of course, this happens when people come into your life for awhile and help you-or hurt you and then they are gone. It doesn''t necessarily mean that they are either good or bad but simply that they served a purpose and went on about their business.
Fortunately, most of the core members got back together and decided to camp out in the studio and attempt to assemble a CD. It took about four years of sweat, tears, and prayers-but it was finally completed. The result is "Prayin'' for a Change". This CD represents a collection of original songs that have a mixture of old and contemporary gospel styles with an emphasis on funk and R&B. So now the Sons of Faith can continue with their ministry until God tells them differently.
