Details:
The Thieves formed in 1999 in their hometown of Oxford, England. They lived, rehearsed and worked together in an old barn hidden in the ''shire. Between 1999 and 2000 the band rehearsed, recorded and toured the UK relentlessly, building up a large and dedicated following throughout Southern England. Primarily, they became one of Oxford''s top bands - second only perhaps to local hero''s Supergrass and Radiohead - constantly selling-out shows and self-produced EP''s.

In 2001 the band completed their first ''demo'' album, "How''s the Empire?". This scored them radio play on national BBC Radio One and local FM shows; it sold well and achieved favorable press.

At the start of 2002 the band teamed up with top UK engineer and producer Chris Brown (Radiohead, ''The Bends'', Muse, ''Origin of Symmetry'', The Beatles ''Anthology'' remix with Sir George Martin) and took residency at Monnow Valley Studios in Wales where they tracked their album "One Eyed Poker". The album was completed at Jacob''s and Abbey Road Studios in England. The LP was intended as a completed work and tipped for the current trend of licensing. After the album''s completion The Thieves relocated to Los Angeles to work closer with the ever-escalating interest generating there.

In 2003 the band moved from downtown Los Angeles to the more alluring and remote setting of Shadow Hills. They built a studio in their new house and concentrated on writing and recording with the occasional live show to showcase the new material. The band had now created a catalogue in excess of 70 songs and a gig history of over 500 shows - which they continue to work on.

The Thieves entered Royaltone Studios in September, 2004 with Chris Brown in full production mode to record their latest EP ''The Whiteline EP''. The record is perhaps the most accessible and competent recording to date by the band. Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) of LA''s Indie 103.1 FM has already started spinning the lead track ''Tales From The Whiteline''.

The band found a great partner and like-minded soul buddy in Liquor and Poker Music (Century Media) and inked a deal in November 2004. Liquor and Poker are set to release ''The Whiteline EP'' shortly.
The Thieves are about to embark on a UK tour and then return to the US for the remainder of the year where they will tour and prepare to record their new album.

All this, fused with their skills and experience both on and off the stage justifies their title of being absolute masters of their craft. Apart from that they''ll drink or rock you right under the table pal!
