K.C.

"I''m not sure when it all started, but I know it started very early. I don''t remember a time when I wasn''t singing, especially as a child. It always brings a smile to my face and keeps me centered. The radio was my babysitter and my best friend. I have been called obnoxious, loud, annoying, and been told to shut up more times than I can count, but I keep singing on.

I have been referred to as ''the singing bartender'' in many of the establishments that have employed me. At stoplights, other drivers constantly turn up their radios to drown me out, but I keep singing on. So after years of trying to work with too many flaky musicians, I decided to concentrate on writing all new, original material.

The question asked to me the most is, "What is your music genre?" So I dug deep and thought hard on that question. I reviewed my favorite bands and other influences throughout my life time such as: indie rock legends Caroline''s Spine, Chicago (the band), my first ever concert Huey Lewis and the News, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Barenaked Ladies, Jewel, Hootie and the Blowfish, The Black Crowes, Live, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, anything by the voice god Chris Cornel, Mr. James Brown and Mr. Ray Charles (God rest their souls), Johnny Cash who did the best cover tune ever in "Hurt," Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Dizzy Gillespie, Smokey Robinson, Wilson Picket, Patsy Cline, Garth Brooks, Run DMC, Easy E, DR Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice T, Ice Cube (you thought I was going to say Vanilla Ice next didn''t you?), and thousands of other huge bands and indie bands that have caught my attention.

Sorry if I offended any musicians on or not on this list. If you were not on my list, don''t worry because I am sure I have listened to you too or may soon. So here I am a product of the radio, finally able to accurately describe my own genre of music which I call: COUNTRY/BLUES/ALTERNATIVE/POP/ROCK & ROLL. And I keep singing on.

I was born singing on December 3rd 1974 in Pocatello, Idaho, United States of America. My family moved to Kaysville, Utah after the death of my father to be closer to family. Then in 1990, with my three older sisters finally all out of the house, my mom and I moved to El Toro, California. After graduation, I traveled around for a while with my oldest sister and her family. Then I ended up in Layton, Utah and Ogden, Utah until I heard California calling me again in 2000. Now I live in the Orange bubble of Southern California and I keep on singing."

I am very proud of the theme song I wrote for the Dr. Casey show broadcast on AM 830 KLAA or live stream at https://www.tradebit.com every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. pacific time.
