Details:
The Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps has been entertaining audiences since 1972. Formed in preparation for our country’s Bicentennial celebration, the Corps plays modern musical arrangements in addition to the traditional repertoire of early American music.

This extraordinary group of young people (aged 12 to 18) performs at historic sites, in parades, at festivals and corporate events from Michigan to the Atlantic Coast, from Quebec to South Carolina.

This recording captures the sound of the Corps, but it cannot convey the stunning visual and emotional impact. The sight of the color guard, with flags flying and weapons at the ready, performing precision marching routines to the ancient melodies is certainly impressive; but when one realizes this is being performed by teenagers, young people who are the same age as those fifers and drummers in the Revolutionary War, it brings chills to the spine.

This recording honors the individuals who formed the Plymouth Fife & Drum Corps, those who continue the tradition, and those who will carry it on.
