Details:
Tom Driscoll, singer songwriter

Tom Driscoll is a singer songwriter from the Boston area who, in early 2002, releases his debut full length studio recorded CD entitled "Guesses at Wisdom." The album features 14 original songs ranging from an a capella chant called "walls fall down" to songs like "the river knows" and "bold robber" arranged with an ensemble including harmony vocal, accordion, guitar, bass, violin and banjo.

Tom produced the recording together with Jef Scoville at Your House in Roslindale MA working with a number of well known and respected musicians from the Boston area folk scene as session players and background vocalists.

Tom''s songs spring from sources in traditional music, pop songs and rock and then move toward an individual intimate poetry. His songs reward the listener. Tom was born in the Boston area and "raised on a steady diet of classical music and my father''s Clancy Brothers records." He "discovered" Bob Dylan in his junior high school listening library in 1974. He was changed. Tom has written poetry and fiction since his early teens but only in recent years has
he turned an interest in music towards writing and performing.

Recently he has been featured performing in venues like the Front Street Coffeehouse in Salem, MA and The Colonial Inn in Concord MA. In November 2001 he was the opening act for Hewitt Huntwork in a concert at The Center for Arts in Natick. He also opened for Geoff Bartley in January of that year in that same venue. He can frequently be found performing at the area open mic venues like The Natick Center and the Common Threads Coffeehouse in Uxbridge MA.

Tom has previously released two demo-length cd''s which are currently available on the internet through https://www.tradebit.com and CD Baby (https://www.tradebit.com).

Tom lives in Holliston, Massachusetts with his wife, artist and designer Denise Driscoll and their two children, Jeremiah and Hannah.
