Details:
Escherbach is an instrumental rock trio from South Bend, Indiana formed early in 2007. The trio performs intense music which laces fusion arrangements with the styles of post and progressive rock in order to satisfy the technical junkies yet still be accessible enough for the casual music listener. The resulting sound is chaotic, beautiful, energetic, and sometimes indescribable. And without putting constraints on the listener through the use of lyrics, Escherbach allows the listener to conjure up their own emotions and feelings to associate with the music, thus creating a unique experience for each individual.

Recorded in the Spring of 2007, Cycles is the debut album of instrumental rock band, Escherbach.

Emerging from the basements and garages of South Bend City, IN, Cycles was tracked shortly after the band formed. It consists of material originally planned for demo purposes, but was ultimately chosen to be the bands first full-length, released in February of 2009.

Guitars, keyboards, didgeridoo, an old detuned radio, bass, drums, a dog, birds, traffic, and various percussive instruments all make appearances on the album. Some of the best singers in the South Bend area: Ali Niedbalski, Lorcan Miller, and Nicholas Schmidt also lend their vocal talents to the record.

Escherbach, along with Schmidt (engineer and producer), captured the band at the beginning of one of its cycles. The three members coming from the break-up of a previous band, recorded what music they had at the time. Only six months later those same songs and the band''s live sound evolved with the addition of new sections and a sound that was dirtier and bigger thus beginning a new cycle.

Cycles showcases the band experimenting with ideas that other bands wouldn''t normally attempt for a first release or demo project. Instead of just going for better sounding versions of live material, Schmidt and Escherbach opted to record an album that would be separate from the live experience and stand on its own.

The final result demands many listens if one truly wants to experience all the nuances of Cycles, which was mixed masterfully by Schmidt. We hope you enjoy it!
