We are a new gospel group from Amityville NY which is consisting of five young people who are on the move for God. We have known each other for quiet some years through fellowshipping with each other through our churches and started singing together as a group in 2004. It never dawned on us that one day God would bind us together and use our voices to touch people’s lives and be a blessing to our church ministry. Although we have been singing together for a while at different Concerts and functions we never knew that God wanted to use us as ministers for the Gospel. We have such a unique blend that we truly believe that this is the will of God for us to minister his songs to souls that need strength, souls that need to be set free, souls who need to know God. The group members are Kerry Ann Smith, Lakiesha Hall, Tenesha Bernard, Teneka Baker and Jason Allen they have come together and decided to form the group “Echoes of Praise”. We travel with our live band. Our band members are Kevin Smith which is also the group manager, Denton Smith Jr and Dietrick Smith. They range from the ages of 21 to 31 years old and attends Calvary Apostolic church and Miracle Temple church on Long Island NY. Our music is very inspirational and is loved by many fans; our single called “I need more” has been getting a lot of airplay on the stations here in NY and around the country. We recently performed for Hopeton Lewis at the CJMA Caribbean gospel awards here in June 2006. Our goal is to become a force for God and to let the world know that God is real and he can take you through any situation in life if you just let him lead you. Although we are from the Caribbean we have a unique style in which we blend the Caribbean gospel with the American gospel and it gives our flavor and brings out the message in a positive way.
