Well someone had to do it. Someone had to make an album with some heart, balls, guts, & spirit. And someone had to make a record with some originality, style, and unpredictability. And maybe even someone had to make an album with some intelligence & humor.
Well, no. Let’s face it. Nobody really had to make an album like that........
But this guy did, anyway.
Fusing different elements together and drawing upon influences known & unknown, Steven Rothenberg & RUM’s new Cd ‘UP FROM THE INSIDE’ is a mix of rock, soul, world, & blues with tracks that stand on their own and that contain more substance than only one listening can give. Tracks like ‘Brand New Spankin’ “, “Into The Eye”, “I Like Some Contrast”, & “I Been Walkin’ “ especially stand out.
Different and sometimes inspiring. I look forward to hearing more from this artist & group.

From shadow into sun. From the dark into the light. Mr. Rothenberg was chronically ill for many years and unable to walk, talk, eat, or breathe without major-league difficulty, let alone give any energy to the music he loves. But now through many years of extremely hard work he is able to enjoy the things most people take for granted and also now finally give himself and his music the attention it deserves.
