Details:
Travis Abercrombie is a modern rock singer/songwriter originally hailing from South Carolina. Travis himself has been performing at various clubs, colleges, and festivals for eight years. He started off his music career at Clemson University, where he co-founded one of South Carolina''s most successful college party bands at the time, Seven Miles. The group ended up selling at least 3000 CD''s in its career, which left Travis wanting to take his career to the next level. So, after recording a spiritual, debut solo album, Bridges, he decided to pick up and move to Nashville to "stick out" as a rock-pop artist in a predominately country town.

After getting to Nashville in 2001, he began playing writer''s nights and open mic nights at venues like The Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, and The French Quarter Café among many others. All the while, he continued to write new material and find new connections. Heather Dunn, for example, is an outstanding alt-country singer/songwriter. In fact, the two of them hit it off and began singing out at clubs and co-writing many songs that would end up being on Travis'' breakout CD, entitled Spin .

Travis knew he needed to get out and start performing live with a full band and building his own buzz. So, the following months after the completion of Spin were spent adding members to Travis'' would-be band. Drummer, Josh Faucher, was someone that Travis met when he first came to Nashville, and he fit perfectly personally and professionally into the band. But, with Nashville being so full of musicians for hire, it was tough to get guitarists and bassists who would commit to just one project, so Travis and Josh both endured grueling lineup changes for the next six months. But, one day their fortunes finally changed, and here came the wildly energetic, guitarist-turned bassist, Jason Hall, to fill the void. The Travis Abercrombie Band was formed.

Spin hit the stores, and the band hit the stage. The buzz started to come, and they found that they had the talent, drive, and eventually, a business team, to be propelled to the next level. Two local entertainment publications, The Nashville Scene and The Rage, both had the Travis Abercrombie Band as their "Critics'' Pick" for every single local Nashville show. Better yet, the southeast regional entertainment publication, The Weekly''s, Inc., wrote a full-page article saying that The Travis Abercrombie Band was the next "Band on the Brink". The album, Spin, in a word is... "WOW" (https://www.tradebit.com 2002). "From top to bottom, they are all great songs with different moods." Everyone seems to have a favorite, which is cool by Travis. He "sings about lust, obsession, and longing with genuine emotion". (Donna Colelli, Sensored Magazine.) The band toured throughout late 2002, and all of 2003 to promote Spin ...selling over 2500 copies at shows!!!

Since the album''s release, Nashville radio stations like 102.9 "The Buzz" and Lightning 100.1 have had Travis in as their studio guest, and have played the singles "A Little Too Much" and the title track, "Spin" in steady rotation on their weekly local music shows. Consequently, 102.9 "The Buzz" had also chosen the single, "A Little Too Much", to be on the "Best of Local Buzz" compilation CD to be released in the summer 2003. Travis'' music is often heard on AIIR Radio (Artists International Independent Radio), which is a Live Internet Radio Station promoting independent and unsigned artists across the country.

In late 2003, the CD was also placed into medium and sometimes, heavy rotation with college radio stations throughout the country thanks to the efforts of Powderfinger Promotions. But, THE highlight of Travis'' career came in April 2003, when the band had the honor of opening for one of Travis'' biggest influences, Vertical Horizon, at the University of Texas'' "40 Acres Fest" in front of thousands of people! The band continued to tour through the summer, fall and winter of 2003, but in November ''03, due to some "timing" issues with the industry itself, the team decided to re-energize and pursue other interests in ''04. Travis tried songwriting for other artists(check out https://www.tradebit.com), started an artist development company and booking agency with the now successful Nashville firm, Dreamscapers Int''l, and just got himself ready for a new project that he can come out guns blazin'' with. He''s finished tracking and mixing another album, and rest assured, it will be his best effort yet by far! Travis'' now just released album, " Tied ", hit internet stores and over 250 college radio stations as of September 27, 2005!! Check out what the largest indie internet store, https://www.tradebit.com, says about the new album ''Tied''..."Only a matter of time before these songs hit radio. The best indie mainstream pop/rock album out there."

"Travis, some times my job as the AAA music director is quite hard, because of the lack of talent that comes across my desk. It''s artists like you who make my job worthwhile. I really enjoy listening to your music. Its so full of energy and emotion, and a musical gift...Thanks so much."
