With intelligence, stunning good looks and a voice to touch the listener''s heart, it''s evident that Trecia has it going on to take the music industry by storm. When it comes to separating the merely talented to the outright blessed, Trecia is obviously one of the chosen ones.
As a native of Jamaica, born into a musical family her incredible voice was realized at an early age. She performed at several school concerts and she was also a member of her local church choir where she developed her voice.
Migrating to the U.S. as a teen, she joined NY All City High School Choir. She went on to become an integral part of the school choir and performed with the choir at Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, St Patrick''s Cathedral and Lincoln Center.
Not a stranger in the recording world, Trecia recorded with the Legendary Jamaican Ska Band, The Skatalities in 1997. The reunion album is entitled "Trisha and the Supersonics." One of the singles from this album is featured on Various Artists Sampler "Moon Ska New York USA."
Trecia has also modeled for several designers Nigerian Fabrics & Fashions, Jewel Shannon, Soft Lines) at pageants and fashion shows.
Her influences range from The I-Threes (the Wailers), Freddie McGregor (Who''s also from the same Parish where Trecia was born in Jamaica), Stephanie Mills and Whitney Houston.
Trecia is presenting her album "You Deserve Trecia," and not only did she do some writing but she also Co-Produced the album along with Producer and arranger Sam Archer (B2K, Track Masters, 112), breaking boundaries blending cross-cultural sounds. The result is a dazzling album that intrigues, sooths and enlighten the soul.
The album explores Rhythm & Blues with a jazzy undertone and a unique blend of Dance Hall beats. The Album boasts 10 songs of delight, from " Every time I Close My Eyes," which has a touch of middle Eastern Flavor over dance hall groves to " Anything," which is destined to keep the party rocking. The title track "You Deserve It," seems like it can be a classic tune within the Caribbean music lover''s category. Look out for the remake of "Nothing but Love," with duet vocals by Sam Archer.
