Formed in the winter of 2007, Mondays Fiction is a refreshing mixture of Rock and Pop, with elements inspired from classical to classic rock. All this combined with a tasty touch of ambient overtones, melody driven riffs, and hard hitting drums, makes for one hell of an experience. This Toronto based quartet includes: Joel Stewart (Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar), Joe Minichini (Bass, Vocals) Justin Sousa (Guitars, Vocals, Keyboard), and Steve Rice (Drums).
The band recently hooked up with producer, Ruben Huizenga (Edwin, David Usher) and completed their debut EP, Another Story, which features the songs, More Than Yesterday, So Strange, The Rain and Get Me Out of This Place. The EP is a compilation of their proudest works that have made both fans and neighboring studio patrons crave a second listen. Unlike Chinese Democracy, this compilation has been confidently released after only 1 year in the making.
Mondays Fiction is constantly playing the Toronto circuit trying to make themselves a household name, before unleashing themselves on the rest of Canada and perhaps the world. They live by the philosophy that a band can write catchy melodies, break boundaries in music, and appeal to the masses, without being your typical bubble gum pop artists.
