What MOJO Magazine has said about TYPEWRITER:
"With the flair of a Rundgrenesque renaissance man, ex-Lucy Show singer/guitarist Mark Bandola has assembled 31 tracks of shimmering eclectic delight. Even though it leaps from loops and samples to alt country and shameless rock guitar, this album never feels fragmentary. A record guaranteed to put a spring in your step."

What https://www.tradebit.com has said about TYPEWRITER:
"...veers wildly between just about every single style of music you''ve ever heard of. And it''s beautiful. The transitions between the tracks are sometimes harsh, and the musical styles butted up against each other don''t always make what''s called "sense." But that''s just a good argument against "sense." Because when songs are this good, nothing else matters. " -Matt Cibula

What https://www.tradebit.com has said about TYPEWRITER:
"...Bandola bounces from genre to genre with startling speed, adding more and more balls to his bizarre juggling act...Drum machines and electronic gizmos are used to full effect as he deviates between Krautrock and psychedelia. It is eclecticism gone mad and it''s a mind-bend. "
-Duncan White

What Aural-Innovations has said about TYPEWRITER:
"...a roller coaster ride listen which never sits still for long, continually moving through a parade of themes and styles ranging from pop-psych, dense walls of guitar and drone, jazzy funk, free-jazz, and drifting hypnotic psychedelia. File under freaky. " -Jerry Kranitz

" This lucious wall of sound includes joyful trippy melodies, mischievious sampling and funky breaks. Sounding like a cross between Todd Rundgren and Muse, it''s new head-rock for the zero''s. A triumph." - Lucy O''Brien ( Q magazine writer )

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE:
London''s TYPEWRITER is the musical vehicle of Mark Bandola: probably the most eclectic collection released in 2003 - or anytime in recent memory...especially when viewed in the ''pop'' world as ''pop'' music - which maybe it is not. You''ll know of Bandola as one of the members of THE LUCY SHOW. His songs, singing & chiming guitar were a popular request on North American college radio in the late 80''https://www.tradebit.comir singles ''A Million Things'',''New Message'', and ''Ephemeral(This Is No Heaven)'' gained them international attention and the group toured Europe and America with bands such as The Cocteau Twins, REM, & New Order.
THE LUCY SHOW worked with talented producers, including John Leckie, who eventually led Bandola to work with studio wiz-kid Mitch Easter(he of LETS ACTIVE infamy)at his renowned Drive-In studio in North Carolina. Together they recorded the ''Til Tueday'' EP. Blissful guitar-driven things, concluding with the paranoid guilt-trip of ''Defenceless'' - a clear indication of the musical soundscapes Bandola would be recording from then on. Having played live with SHREIKBACK in the past, Bandola hooked up with their drummer Martyn Barker, and their old pal, Karl Shale, from THE COLOURFIELD, and recorded the Krautrock-inspired ''Electric-Arc'' CD under the guise of AUSGANG.
These sonic experiments convinced Bandola to go all the way and create the ultimate frankensteinian/multi-personality song cycle LP - to be classed with all major statements in popular music through the decades. Think of one - play it against Skeleton Key & you''ll realize Typewriter belongs among the greats. Listen and see.
