Details:
The Stereo Effect Project grew out of a synthesizer repair business owned by Keith Robert Murray, in Toronto Canada. In addition to a collection of vintage analog synth gear, the sounds of The Project come from a series of custom built tone sources, sequencers, and effects.
The focus of The Stereo Effect Project is to create beautiful, uplifting electronic nuggets. Simple, bright melodies float over beds of sequenced bass and funky rhythms. Some tracks border on "experimental", but never at the expense of the groove.
The Project''s latest CD, "Electronic Projects For Long Canadian Winters", is a compilation comprised of the best tracks from first three albums by The Stereo Effect Project. These early albums are rare out of print Canadian indy-electronic releases.
Since 2002, The Stereo Effect Project has had airplay on Canadian college radio, as well as on the CBC Radio shows Brave New Waves and The Signal.
In 2004, music from The Stereo Effect Project was used in the Jonathan Culp film "Grilled Cheese Sandwich".
