Details:
Imagine a band with humor, throaty vocals, and more hooks than your uncle Jim''s tackle box...and you have Vertigo Bliss. Working their way to the top of the music scene in Spokane, Washington, Vertigo Bliss has always believed in playing music for the masses with their clever hooks, suspicious themes and addictive power pop melodies. Fun is what this band is all about. Vertigo Bliss, comprised of vocalist/guitarist Dave Kotlan, bassist Denny Holler, and drummer TBone Brenneise, have been dubbed "the rowdy trio" by area music editors for their outrageous antics, sense of humor and energetic live shows. They flawlessly meld off-the-wall humor, tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, and ''comedic tragedy'' with edgy vocals and thoughtful, heart-piercing song writing reminiscent of Jimmy Eat World, Bowling for Soup, and Marvelous 3. In 2003, this reputation caught the ear of EMI and Anheuser-Busch and prompted them to add Vertigo Bliss to their True Music Live program as the only band to represent the Inland Northwest. They are currently signed on through 2005!

Vertigo Bliss blasted on to the music scene in 2000 with "focus," their debut CD that spent 6 weeks in the #1 position on the Inland Northwest''s top 10 charts (and 1 ½ years in the top 10). Their newest CD, entitled "phonophobic," is drenched in unapologetic power-pop tunes glazed with a fresh attitude that greatly reflects the personality of Vertigo Bliss and their live shows. From the tongue-in-cheek songs: "zipper-mask," "bi-curious girlfriend," and the ode to Britney Spears called "bs," to the more serious side with: "my bad," "the last drive-in theatre" and the wedding favorite "you,"...Vertigo Bliss has something for everyone. In September 2003, their song "snafu" went to the #1 spot in Spain, according to the Plástico Elástico radio show. Currently, Vertigo Bliss''s music is being featured on 3 compilation CDs, including Shut Eye Records'' Buzzlighter series entitled "Sharp Cuts."

In October 2001, after six weeks of competition, Vertigo Bliss blazed their way into first place in the Inland Northwest Battle of the Bands finals, held by the area''s #1 rock radio station KHTQ Rock 94 ½. From there the band has been regularly played, and requested, on many of the top Northwest radio stations and has shared the stage with many heavy-hitting, signed acts including Collective Soul, The Flys, Save Ferris, Tommy Tutone, and Concrete Blonde.

Vertigo Bliss has quickly become a favorite among community charities and music fans alike. Among their many charity events is the "Rock For Tots" concert...a show they founded, organize and headline every Christmas since 2000. This is an event that brings together the Inland Northwest''s finest bands for an incredible evening of music in an effort to collect toys (thousands to date) and raise cash for the Toys For Tots Foundation and Inland Northwest kids. The boys from VB also contributed their version of the track "beautiful" to the CD "Too Much Rawk For One Man" - a tribute to the music of Butch Walker, formally of the Marvelous 3, to benefit the American Cancer Society.
