Fans of haunt music, this is your album!!
Hear what haunt fans are saying!
I received my "Out Of The Ether" CD today. I just got finished listening to the 8 tracks.
First let me say that the quality of the CD was excellent. Most of the tracks were very eerie. My favorite track was #6 "Chasm Of The Soul." It could easily be on the soundtrack for any new Horror movie. Starts out with chimes and then gets into some very creepy synthesized moaning/singing.
This is not your typical haunted house soundtrack. This is not a bunch of sound effects or witches cackling and chains rattling. This is a very good compilation of original creepy music that would be a great background CD for any Halloween occasion.
We will be adding this CD to our rotation of background music for this years haunted house.
I look forward to hearing future CD''s from Virgil in the future. Keep up the great work!

"Out Of The Ether" is the newest addition to the Halloween music genre. This CD presents itself as a journey into the beyond; combining low ambiences with "otherworldly" sounds, it delivers an ominous feeling of solitude, coupled with desparitry that will make you feel uncomfortable as you listen to it. The atmospheres that "Out Of The Ether" creates range from dark, to gloomy, to celestial, all
with a foreboding undertone. While some of the tracks have an almost "Midnight Syndicate" feel to them because of the way the orchestra plays out, this CD is unique enough to stand on its own. Unlike many Halloween CD''s "Out Of The Ether" presents itself almost like the score from a motion picture, with each track really setting a mood as you listen. You feel as though you are actually in the settings which the CD creates in your head. If you''re looking for a CD to set the mood for your haunt, "Out Of The Ether" delivers and has just the right balance of ambience and orchestra to create an unsettling environment for you and your guests.

Out of the Ether by Virgil is a fantastic first time effort into making a haunt CD. It doesnt easily fall into a single music category, so yto ive any form of idea on style, I will be referring to music I know and love.
Probably the closest comparison I can say overall is Danzigs BLACK ARIA CD, but better. One can close their eyes and imagine the mist enshrouded landscape, the night of thunder and terror.
I have about 20 CD''s in my "Haunt Collection", and track 6 will be at the top of my picks for this year.
Most of the CD''s I have purchased over the years have the same sound throughout the whole cd. This is not the case with yours. Most tracks are very unique and can be used in various settings. I to, am reminded of movie backgrounds on several tracks, as another reviewer mentioned.
I have heard, and purchased, many better know artist CD''s that yours is superior to for use in the haunt industry.
Thanks for the sample and for tracks I can use this year. I would recommend others to buy the CD. You will find something you will like, and can use, regardless of your favorite style.
.. and what gamers are saying...
So... what does Marc really think?
This is an awesome gaming CD. The tracks are long, with only 2 tracks that are less than 6mins long, with half over 7mins long. It sets the mood and maintains it. I would set this CD up to play on repeat during a session, and just lest the music wash into the background.
The over all quality of this music cannot be deigned. I have purchased major motion picture soundtracks that were far inferior to this CD. With all that being said, when it comes down to the basics... If you are a Game Master for virtually any horror, mystery or gothic RPG where tension, fright and dark atmosphere is needed... then I highly recommend this CD to you.
