A seasoned performer and songwriter, Vicki Jacobi has played in classical concerts, gospel road shows and mainstreamed her own arrangements of standards combined with original tunes at exclusive private parties and hotels throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
Ms. Jacobi possesses an eclectic background that began in the classics. Through early exposure to gospel, jazz and blues, a passionate love of distinctive sounds was born. Her talent for composing pieces that carry deep emotional content - or are wedded to words that express their meaning - is her trademark. She carries a substantial repertoire of original work in the soft rock, gospel and adult contemporary genres. She credits her ability and success to a God-given gift of musical creativity.
In 1996, Ms. Jacobi produced an original show, Snapshots, featuring her music wound around an original script designed to celebrate the strength and courage of the human spirit through the cycles of life. The show was well received by the general public during its two-show benefit run for Children''s Miracle Network at the Allen Theatre in Annville, PA. In 1997, Vicki created the music to an innovative 50-minute exercise program for travelers, Trav-L-Cise, designed to relieve stress and keep travelers alert and refreshed during their trips. She also wrote two demo songs for Jamie Lynn Sigler, currently playing the youngest daughter, in HBO''s hit series, The Sopranos. In both 1998 and 1999, Vicki performed at the Women In Music''s prestigious Touchtone Awards dinner in New York City. In 1999 she also completed an adult contemporary CD of original work, Portraits, recorded at New York City''s Clinton Studios and mixed/mastered at BMG Studios also in New York City under her own Grantham Records, Inc. label. She is currently marketing her CD to top film and entertainment companies.
Vicki has a Masters of Music degree from Northwestern University''s School of Music in Evanston, Illinois. With dual concentrations in piano performance and pedagogy, she has mastered the performing aspect of her craft and combines a unique blend of memorable melodies to produce a defining style of her own.
