WORLD SHOWCASE WINNER FINALIST OFFERS FREE CONCERT
Saint Paul, Minn., November 24, 2003 -- 2003 USA World Showcase Grand Prize Winner
Jim Vilandre will perform a free concert at the Mall of America on Saturday, December 6
at 1:00 p.m. as part of The Mall''s concert series held at Sam Goody Central, formerly
the Rotunda, on the east side, level one of The Mall. The Mall Of America is located at
60 East Broadway in Bloomington. For more information, call 952-883-8814.
Vilandre will be performing music from his newest album, including "Live For The Line"
which was chosen as the best original song at the USA World Showcase.
The Showcase was held in Las Vegas Nevada this past summer. The song entitles
Vilandre to be seen by millions on November 30 when the showcase is aired on America
One Network television at 6:00 p.m. Central time. The show will also appear as a
two-hour website telecast.
Music professionals at The USA World Showcase, which is similar to American Idol or
Star Search, chose Vilandre as one of 150 finalists from a pool of 15,000
songwriter/performers. Vilandre received a cash prize for the song in Las Vegas on
October 11, and was also chosen to receive the viewer''s choice trophy. He now has the
opportunity to continue appearing in the competition as long as American viewers vote
for him via email. Jim is the current grand prize winner. He is continuing to compete for
the grand prize championship, to be awarded on Dec. 16. If Vilandre garnishes enough
votes he will take his second grand prize viewer''s choice trophy and another cash prize!

Vilandre, who has received international recognition for his music, has signed an
