Virgo Degan can trace his love of music back to the sounds of Minnie Riperton''s "Lovin'' You" floating from the radio during his New Jersey childhood. Young Virgo found himself singing along to the torch classic, effortlessly replicating the high notes thanks to, a now, almost eight octave range.
As a young adult, Virgo began modeling doing mostly print work and his musical journey as a singer/songwriter moved him from New Jersey to New York to Los Angeles where he currently resides. He continued modeling to support his addicting musical habit and produced and preformed on many demos for himself and other artists.
His first album, entitled "Yes, it is.", was produced by Chuck Henry of 10 West Productions, and released to critical acclaim in the fall of 2003.
His sophomore album is currently in production and will include a cover of "Lovin'' You", as well as other timeless classics. And as a further tribute to the woman whose voice defined the course of his life, a portion of the proceeds from his upcoming CD will be donated to the Minnie Riperton Breast Cancer Foundation.
