POP: 70''s Pop, ROCK: Progressive Rock

Details:
What are people saying about dynamic, liquid rythym sections? Or raw lyrics delivered from the soul on up? How about catchy tunes without cliches? Or mixing world music with good old rock and roll? The answer, simply put: "People are saying VOXIUS".
"elastic acoustic rock"
"incredibly structuredÂ…almost experimental"
"it''s the emotionÂ…the bands as well as your own"

Elasticity never felt so good. That rubbery soul mixed with intense musical genius means only one
band: Voxius, pronounced "vo-shus," stemming in part from the word "vociferous." It all started with
a phone call: Aaron Brown, formerly of Elias Khrone, calls Bob Loiselle, infamous bassist of Hepcat
Dilemma and Special Ed. "I''ve been writing an album, I need a band to play it," he says. "I call it
Psyclotomis Rex." They then employ the help of drummer Byron Glatz -- usually known as Col. Fifi,
also of Hepcat Dilemma and Special Ed -- and Glenn Fischer, percussionist and weird noise man
from Elias Khrone. The band has been playing shows for almost two years, awing crowds and even
getting ejected from one club for pumping the volume too high. Their unique version of rock has a
warm, fuzzy feeling that riles up a crowd physically and cerebrally. The lyrics are personal and
introverted, yet allow enough room for the audience to connect with the band and know exactly
what they mean. Onstage, Voxius tends to be fast paced; Brown tends to break at least one string on
his guitar each show. Perhaps for that reason alone, the band frequently sells out of Psyclotomis
Rex, which finally came out last year, at their shows. The album proves that Voxius is the definition
of the well rounded band, from the all-acoustic and vocal masterpiece of "The Peeler" to the songs
"4" and "5," which include a two-person drum duel before shifting into a breakthrough bass riff.
They''ve already begun working on their forthcoming attraction, The Birth of Screaming Nina.

The sickly sweet harmonies on the
peeler, the eerie way that even scat noises can be
evil, and those questions which plague you right
before you go to sleep. Psyclotomis Rex, Voxius'' first
album, features drum beats by Glenn Fischer and Byron
Glatz that will either have you dancing in your living
room alone, or at least thinking about it. But perhaps
you?re more the type who would rather knock over
tables and chairs to Bob Loiselle playing the bass. If
not, then you must be the type who would instantly be
inspired to pull out that box of pictures of long lost
friends, past memories, all the while singing along
with Aaron Brown. Because what lies behind Psyclotomis
Rex is the emotion: those of the bands as well as
those of your own. If you don''t feel ready for the
experience of listening to this CD on your own, be
sure to check out one of Voxius'' live shows and see
that there are others just like you. To learn more
about yourself, contact https://www.tradebit.com and buy the
CD or see where you can next catch this band play
live. And when that first new shiny bolt of light hits
your noodle, contact Voxius again to explain that you
can realize no other option but complete surrender.
