With their Debut album fresh of the press these guys have been turning heads and getting people moving at every show they have played. There is something about Malefic Past’s style that although heavily soaked with deep distorted guitar tone and thunderous double kick phrases, not to mention front man Justin Butler’s aggressive vocal illustrations that make you feel good and want to move, but don’t let that fool you. With some very serious subject matter such as abuse and suicide being addressed, the messages behind the music are not to be taken lightly. Their EP For The Fallen was named in light of two tracks from the album. Man Down written shortly after the tragic and untimely passing of Dime Bag Darrel Abbott, whom all the members of Malefic Past respect and admire. As well as Kelly’s Song, written in loving memory of Justin’s niece, Kelly Marie McLaughlin who passed as a result of a car accident during the albums writing process.
