MP3 Vontanner - Blame it on me!

Chris and Michael hit it right on the head. You''ve started another war, nobody knows what for...but you can blame it on me. You can blame famine and disease, abortion if you please, it''s your decision, you can even blame me for circumcision...

VONTANNER has a new cd to be released 9/11/04 called "Blame it on me!".

Chris and Michael cover an incredible number of life messages important to them and as their emotion portrays they feel should be important to all of us and about as many genres of music as well. The title song, a modern-folk acoustic number is for the upcoming national election. It seems that no matter what nastiness the politicians are dirtying their hands with, they always play the lavender card, the standard ''blame it on the queers''-11th hour card.

Chris'' writing is as serious and no holds barred as it is funny and he nearly always leaves you laughing your way back from a ''touch of truth'' tear or two. It is obvious and therefore endearing to this writer that he writes from his own experiences. "Stop the Bully, stop the fright, the shorter the fuse the sooner they ignite, stop the bully before it''s too late... why is your little boy so full of hate?" He writes a song to both his real younger brother where a sibling relationship has gone ''wrong'', but he believes there is still "Room for me" and his many other younger brothers, "All I can say little brother is....some people simply don''t like his and his, since their lives are so unhappy they want you to be Les Mis, whatever their reason is, whatever they''re trying to do, it''s their life, it''s not you, it''s their bull-s*#t and has nothing to do with you, my little brother...".

The song that I personally ''loved'' with a capital "L" is "Little Sister(cut it off!)" This song very rawly portrays queer folks as our little sister''s watch-dogs, "listen-up mister, don''t lay a hand on my little sister...they shouldn''t have to live in fear, that''s why God put us here...don''t even look her way, cause if you do, it would make my day, go ahead, make my day!" Awesome....awesome song Chris, I tip my (baseball) cap to you and Michael for including this on your new ''CD''. There have been and continue to be too many little sisters who are molested, raped and murdered. To many little sisters that aren''t fortunate enough to have someone like the two of you to look after them. Thank you for giving a whole new and needed meaning to ''a queer eye for a straight guy!''
I could go on and on about this couple, yes ''couple'' of talented and loving musicians, but then I''d have nothing to write about tomorrow...Check them out, please all you music lovers, gay, straight or bi, take it from me, you don''t have to be gay to share in their pride, you only have to buy their cd!

with pride-to-share,
