Introducing Joel & Annalisa Jones, husband and wife for over 30 yrs, college educated, parents of two wonderful children. Joel, among other things, is an ex pro-football prospect and is currently in law enforcement for over 20 yrs. Annalisa''s vocational training and work has been in the medical field. The two met in their hometown of Chicago Il, at the young age of 14. They went steady and married at 19 yrs old and began their pursuit of the "American dream." Both were gifted musically and began singing in children and adult chiors. At age 10 Joel was selected for the Fine arts Program and performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Chicago''s Orchestra Hall. Annalisa not only sang as a child but received years of training in varied forms of dance. The two began singing duets while quite young. They continued singing together at events during college and studied voice for years.
The duo plied their trade, working the "9 to 5," while singing and performing R&B covers in clubs at night and on weekends. Both Joel and Annalisa were also skilled in acting (Joel w/SAG and Annalisa an accomplished theater actress). Therefore, they would supplement their income by accepting acting gigs and musicals whenever possible. All the while they continued studying voice and honing their craft. They later began planning to sing overseas in Europe.
Then in 2004 Joel & Annalisa were singing tributes to Motown legends in a music revue, and were just about to embark on a stint overseas when they abruptly cut ties with the revue, stopped singing R&B, cancelled their business ventures, and joined Hilltop Community Church in Richmond, CA.
Who or what could cause two talented, albeit wordly vocalists/entertainers to abandon their lifelong passions, business plans, and dreams, to join a church and immerse themselves in the word of God? One word...JESUS!! You see, Joel and Annalisa had an amazing encounter with God. An awe-inspiring epiphany (complete with the appearance of angels) and the Lord making Himself manifest by speaking to both Joel and Annalisa. This husband and wife team were instructed to repent their sins to the Lord. After humbling themselves and repenting of their sins to Jesus, Joel was given instructions for God''s plan for his and Annalisa''s https://www.tradebit.comy were instructed to read God''s word (the bible) from cover to cover, pray daily and go to church. The Lord said that the two would no longer sing R&B, but gospel/inspirational music. The Lord told Joel & Annalisa that He would provide the music. He said that they would travel the country and the world, spreading God''s word through song and their testimony.
Needless to say, both their lives have been changed dramatically. Joel & Annalisa are new creatures in Christ. They have an intimate, ongoing relationship with the Lord. They have received visions and revelations even to this day. God has called them His mouthpieces...they are disciples of the Lord. They are anointed with the Holy Spirit of God, and are here to proclaim, through song and testimony, the word of the Lord. For God is coming and He wants none to perish.
