BIOGRAPHY INFO

Walt James (guitar, vocals)-Walt James is a veteran guitarist from the Columbus, OH area. Before playing on Pete Way''s (bass-UFO) two solo releases, "Amphetamine" and "Live In Cleveland," as well as touring to support those two albums, Walt was a member of various cover and original bands in the Columbus area, including the notorious prog-pomp rock band Lollipop Factory, playing and singing on their album "Soon" as well. The Walt James Band first appeared in Columbus in 2001 with bassist Andrew Saltzman before going on hiatus for Walt''s stint in the Pete Way Band. Since leaving that band, Walt has resumed working with his own band and is now currently playing out in support of the new album, "Arrival."

John Salvatore (bass)- John Salvatore comes from Huntington, West Virginia. His first instrument was guitar, and later - drums and bass respectively. In 1991 he formed Woodmere Abbey and issued one album in 1993. The band broke up in 1997. In 1995 using the name, Skid Baxter, a character created by his friend, Chris Crickard, Salvatore founded the eclectic Skid Baxter Project, and continues to issue albums compose music (mainly on guitar)under that name to this day, although he did shorten it to "Skid Baxter" in 2003. He re-located to Columbus, Ohio in 1998. In addition to Skid Baxter, Salvatore shared guitar-duties with Matt Venus in Linda Dachtyl''s progressive-rock band, Logarhythm from 1999-2001. He has also produced all of guitarist/composer Chris Sutton''s albums to date. The two have performed live together and have appeared on each other''s recordings as well, with more on the way. Salvatore became a member of The Walt James Band in February 2003.

Linda Dauwalder-Dachtyl (drums, keys, backing vocals)- Linda is a seasoned drummer and keyboardist from Columbus, OH and holds music degrees from Capital University (BM) and The Ohio State University (MA). In addition to performing, she has taught at Ohio Wesleyan University and currently is at Kenyon College, teaching percussion and jazz piano. She has been involved with The Walt James Band since 2001. Some other groups she has performed with include: Logarhythm, an original progressive symphonic rock band; Moxie, Cheesequake, Flamingo Boulevard, The Welsh Hills Orchestra, Pro Musica, Columbus Light Opera, the Rick Brunetto Big Band, Vaughn Wiester''s Famous Jazz Orchestra , Taylor Station, Julie Ivory, and The Mimi Rousseau Band. She also leads the jazz groups LDB3 (Hammond organ) and QED (piano); is the staff composer for "Amish Heartland Productions" providing original music for industrial projects; and has released a Celtic/new age CD, "Amethyst Dreams", in collaboration with lyricist/librettist Timothy Conway.
