This wonderful collection of piano works is designed (per it''s name) for therapeutic purposes. In the past several years, I have encountered the wonderful world of personal growth and healing. The arrangement of the compositions on this CD is designed to lead a practitioner and a receiver through a healing experience. Coming up with this format was a challenge. Typically the music played during healing sessions is catered only to the receiver, and not the practitioner. In situations like this, the practitioner is often bored with the music instead of being motivated and energized. It is also great for listening by oneself during periods of relaxation, introspection, and meditation.
Many thanks to my family and teachers for having provided me with the impetus to learn music at such an early age. I feel fortunate to have had that time for technical growth, as recent years now allow the emotion and creativity to flow freely, without constraints. I so appreciate your encouragement, financial committment for lessons and books, transportation, and attendance of concerts. Without all of this, I would certainly be wondering what I was sitting writing about.
It seems like just yesterday when i was being told, "it will be so fantastic when you are older, having the ability to play for friends, and for your own enjoyment" - couldn''t be more true. music helps me express my passion for life.
