Details:
The Wood Floors consist of Chris Howe (Guitar, Vocals), Buzz Hall(Drums), and Laird Stribling (Bass, Vocals).
Founded in 2003 The Wood Floors'' debut CD, "The Bitter End" was a blistering powerhouse reminiscent of the early Replacements. The songs were quick and to the point, with each one connected by a sound byte of some sort. By years end the band transformed the pop/punk style of its early releases into the more experimental work of "Violence" and "Knowing Girls".
By the time the band recorded "For Rodriguez" the band had found its groove. The disc captures the wide array of styles that have influenced songwriter, Chris Howe''s, entire life. At the age of 15 he started writing and recording demos, and now as he approaches 31 he has over 300 songs to his credit, that range from the acoustic folk of Ryan Adams, to the distortion fueled rock of bands like Husker Du. His deepest influences though are Pete Townshend and Neil Young. For Rodriguez was the moment The Wood Floors decided to put all their energy into their music, which comes pouring out of every live performance they play.
The Wood Floors are one of the Northeast''s most promising bands, whose prolific output and many concert appearances, keep giving fans what they want!
