"X-14" is one of the many projects of Keith Kehrer, owner of and producer for Kamakaze https://www.tradebit.com new cd combines elements of house, techno, Drum N'' Bass, ethnic music and Garage into a pounding and jazzy mix.
Keith has been making music for over twenty years starting out singing in choirs and studying every instrument he could get his hands on and progressing to composing for big band, small ensemble, orchestras and various bands of all ilks.
Getting tired of the band scene (his last band Thunderthing did very well in they Phoenix area but after going through dozens of players dwindled down to one) he got into web design and development and with the advent of faster computers and powerful music software got back into music full bore. Inspired by hearing Transglobal Underground, Meat Beat Manifesto and other electronic acts Keith proceeded to build a computer based project studio. Free from record contracts and the daily business of music he has created 7 projects of all different styles to accommodate his voracious appetites for creation.
X-14 has evolved from a total midi, sample, drum loop project to something that defies description. Anything from straight progressive house, Drum N'' Bass to ethnic music to avant garde to jazz and beyond finds it''s way into the mix. The latest release distills these sensibilities into something quite unique.
