Texas based singer/songwriter Scott McCurry just released his fourth album entitled Go On & Do Your Thing. However, this time he’ll have some companions along for the ride, as this marks the first release as Scott McCurry and The Mercenaries. This new album is a truly unique approach to contemporary pop music. Following in suite of his “wide-eyed indie-pop” releases of prior, Scott and Company stormed full steam ahead into a vaster yet more defined sound, expanding into groovier rhythms and more delicate arrangements and instrumentation. Although the 60s influenced hooks apparent in his previous works remain, they are done so in a new light and with a unique stroke.
