Nashville songwriter Paul Zografi delivers his most poignant and moving record to date with the release of his fifth album One Door (2004).
One Door, produced by multi-instrumentalist and engineer, Jerry Hager, leaves behind the worldly themes that mark the earlier work of the Madison, Wisconsin native. Through the use of images: light and darkness, rising and falling, Zografi funnels the abstract and universal into his own personal spiritual journey, resulting in what is more of a concept album than a group of independent songs. Hager and long-time Zografi collaborator, guitarist J.P. Lilliston, give the songs a richly textured, multi-layered depth, while leaving enough space for the music to breathe.
Since moving to Nashville in 1993 Zografi has recorded the CD''s: Downtown (1996), Who Stole The Boogie (1998), Don''t Stay Too Long (1999) and You And I (2000). All were recorded by Jerry Hager and performed with musicians Lilliston and Paul''s brother Tom Zografi. The recordings of these songs are all available for listening and free download at the website: https://www.tradebit.com.
