Paul Droste received his degrees from The Ohio State University, the Eastman School of Music, and the University of Arizona. He taught for six years in the public schools of Ohio, then for twenty-five years at Ohio State. At OSU he taught applied euphonium, brass literature and pedagogy, and directed the OSU Marching and Military Bands. In 1984 he founded the Brass Band of Columbus and directed it to nine international championships in twenty years. He has been a brass clinician for Yamaha for over thirty years.
This series of recordings is a remaster of Dr. Droste''s two LP-recordings. These fundamental recordings have been brought back to life so future generations can learn from one of the very first educators and soloists of the euphonium.
