Details:
This compilation was composed and recorded throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring of 2002 and 2003 although several of the songs were written much earlier.

''Love Is a Strange Force'' (1976), ''Distance Between Us'' (1978), ''The Prophet'' (1980), ''Standing In the Spotlight'', (1984) were all composed during my high-school, college and first marriage days. They are all reflections of my emotional and personal maturity.

''Kind of a Girl'' (2002) was the first song specifically written for this release. The last song written for this compilation was ''First Warm Day in April'' and, as its name implies, it was written on the first warm day in April (2003).

''My Bottle'' was written late in 2002 after I saw a documentary about the homeless living on the streets of New York City on Christmas eve. One of the men was asked, ''What have you got in that bottle?'' and his answer was, ''Hope.'' It left a lasting impression and reminded me of an eveing I spent in the Chelsea Hotel in NYC. I stood looking out my window in the early evening as a group of homeless men gathered together about a subway vent on the sidewalk across the street to spend the night. It made me realize just how fragile our situation is and how quickly it can all change.

The other two tracks ''One Track Mind'' (2002) and ''Dead Gods'' (2003) were originally poems that I put to music for this release. The former was in response to my wife''s comment about me having a one track mind and the later, a reflection of the changes I''ve experienced with my own spirituality and the blind faith that rules so many.

My next release, due out in the summer of 2005 will incorporate a full band. I hope you''re still listening.
