Prairie musician Jesse Davis Selkirk refers to his singer/songwriter project as Green Bottle Street. Since it''s inception in 2005 Selkirk has released 2 EPs and a full length album under his label Wateroverstone Recordings, and played shows across Western Canada. The newest of these recordings is “Sad Happy Foolish Wise”. It consists of a sampling of songs written over the winter of 2007 while living and working in a small rural community North of Saskatoon. This outing features more stripped down, intimate arrangements. Piano and acoustic guitar are occasionally accompanied by bowed bass, or fiddle. The recording is distinguished throughout by Jesse''s compelling sense of melody, and deep lyrical insight.
