Details:
Wim Wenders, the German Filmmaker had one thing to say about Robby''s solo CD "Soultube": "beautiful". Like Wim Wenders'' films, Robby''s songs are road movies, film songs snapped up from the fringes of life. In the basement studio of an old Train Station, Robby writes, records and produces much of Soultube Music''s material. An award winning songwriter, Robby has written music for the 2004 Oscar nominated short film by Katja Esson, has shared the Stage with Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, Suzanne Vega, Los Lobos, Jonathan Edwards and CCR. He is currently the lead singer of Melodrome and is working on their third release in 2004. With his partner Carol Gingles he has launched Soultube Music, a publishing company specializing in placing songs in film. He is the second Place Winner in the 2004 International Songwriting Competition for best Pop Song and is the winner of the 2002 Musician''s Atlas independent Music Awards for Best Pop/Rock song.

Robby Baier was lead singer and writer for the band Pearls at Swine (BMG Ariola) from 87'' to 96''.
In 1997 Robby Baier moved back to the States, set up a studio in a barn in Richmond, MA, and recorded "Soultube", his solo debut. Hailed by critics and fans, this Article by Singer Songwriter Magazine sums it all up:
"SoulTube, is a tour-de-force. Baier writes, produces, sings and plays virtually every instrument on the album. Baier''s voice actually recalls David Baerwald''s with its soulful crack. What makes Baier''s songs so listenable... is: they buoy their tales of the lost and the broken with irresistible pop/rock hooks... "Room In My Chevy" stomps along propelled by a repeating harmonica phrase that''ll get stuck in your brain for a day or two. Actually that can be said for the whole album. There''s not a toss-off in the bunch. SoulTube is really a soul bomb. Dig the fallout."

The songs Seriously and Right On Track made it into the Feature Film "The Brutal Truth", starring Molly Ringwald, Christina Applegate and Jonathan Schaech. Right On Track was also featured in the Indie film "Dinner and a Movie" by Lisa Kors.
Check out the arty video for "Seriously", shot in the old Power Station of the Monument Mills in Housatonic, MA featuring Bettina Montano of the Victory Girls. Choreography by Laurie McLeod (https://www.tradebit.com).
Soultube continues to make waves. In the summer of 2004 the "Seriously" Video was chosen to appear in ABC''s "All My Children".
