Details:
Nordin is a progressive metal band from Houston, TX. Our music is inspired by the works of Dream Theater, Rush, Symphony X, Megadeth, Eric Johnson, and the compositions of Nobuo Uematsu and Akira Yamaoka.

The album To The First Power is both an indication of a beginning and a dedication. Though mostly instrumental, vocals do appear on the tracks From Gold to Eternity and Reveniam (which is sung in Latin).

Each song represents a certain musical idea or mood.

Manifold Sins is a thesis statement for the album that includes all the best aspects of our music: melodic piano lines, tasteful time changes, and blues guitar solos.

Monument is metal.

Positron focuses on synthesized solos wrapped in an Images and Words era Dream Theater rhythm section.

Palace of Mud is an odd piano-heavy song inspired by a dream about the eponymous palace.

From Gold to Eternity is the history of man told metaphorically through metallurgy.

Reveniam is piano ballad sung in Latin.

Resurrection is an epic instrumental with three rising passages to aurally complement its namesake.

Anomy is the grand finale and features all of the musical ideas from the rest of the songs.

Nordin is:

Jeffrey Nordin - Drums, Keyboards, Piano, Composer
Justin Nordin - Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboards
Tracy Nordin - Lead Guitar, Mixing, Mastering

Jeffrey, along with his twin brother, Justin, have been playing and performing music since they were twelve years old. Jeff composes most of Nordin''s original material. Jeffrey also directed, animated and produced the Manifold Sins music video. Although Justin''s first instrument was the saxophone, he later taught himself how to play the bass and electric guitars.

Tracy, father of the twins, has been playing the guitar since he was twelve years old and has composed many original songs. He acquired his Les Paul TV Special Gibson when he was sixteen years old and even took guitar lessons from Billy Gibbons in 1970.
