I have been working with the guitar since i was 9 and shared guitar lessons with my https://www.tradebit.com brought a Hendrix record from the local music library and i since studied not only Jimi Hendrix,s electric guitar techniques but entered his whole life and prayed that he was inside me ,journeying me to learn and respect other guitarists such as Roy Buchanan, Clapton, Peter Green, Albert Collins,and alternative compositions like Nick Drake, Kate Bush and Tori Amos.
Most of my playing until recently has been improvisation but what the studio has taught me is that i don,t have to be self indulgent and can trust engineers and introduce other styles of musicians into my world .
Geoff Wayne s War of the Worlds together with Duran Duran''s The Chauffeur encouraged me to work with what was given, analogue vintage recording equipment and extra hi tech so whether its splicing programmed drum beats to an original sequence or playing jazz with a gospel singer and a grande.
The source is the most basic, the guitar. A single note or a random shuffle of percussive chords whatever seems vague in the bedroom is enhanced, breathed and manifested to a whole war zone in the studio. The space is a vortex and each track a hybrid of the next until a journey through dark forces of the subliminal to meet and encounter a tibetan gift or feel.
The album ate me, i manifested and cut myself off from most attachments, being single and living in a village most of my life created this lonely self discovering character.
I hope people recognise sanctuary somewhere in each piece, a place to indulge fantasies and to feel there is a possibility of rescue and recognition.I studied percussion in India from Abu and practised methodically in a darkened terrace for some time. The guitars are vintage and melancholic , the Spanish is warm and 1976 but i mostly practise whatever''s nearest the room.
I like to leave mystery to songs, i always have to pack up around me, forever placing guitars in cases i guess i just opened up whilst in the studio, it became my shrine.
The more subtle an idea is, life should https://www.tradebit.com tread lightly and leave a removable imprint over the https://www.tradebit.com,s a lonely instrument but i hope to one day like to be more open and perform live.
