The original music of Bill Schaeffer (aka. Steamboat Willie), as performed by the PLATO Computer System on the GCS, Gooch Cybernetic Synthesizer, at the University of Illinois, Urbana - Champaign, Illinois 1977 - 1982
Built by Sherwin Gooch, the GCS was a 16 voice, monophonic, digital synthesizer, with 256 point programmable waveforms and ASR envelopes. There was no filtering or post processing of the sound. Each song was composed in a special music language code and then compiled by PLATO for performance on the GCS.
All songs composed by William A. Schaeffer, except Yaka Hano Gatzina Yoni transcribed by Natalie Curtis in 1904 (at the Acoma Pueblo), and Razorback Stomp by William A Schaeffer and William F. Walker.
