"The Brothers Bogaardt have been a part of the Canadian music scene for many years, and are seasoned performers, musicians, vocalists and creative songwriters.

Recently, they performed in White Rock, B.C. (Canada), on August 15th, 2005, which was a special performance by invitation of the "1945 Foundation". The event was held in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of remembrance by the survivors, who were Prisoners of War during the Japanese occupation in Indonesia. With Ben & Bill having survived the concentration camps, and joined by their younger brothers, Rick & Archie, their featured performance as the Brothers Bogaardt at the commemoration, drew a standing ovation for their musical performance.
Newspaper articles describing the event were featured in the Vancouver Sun, Aug. 16th/05 and also in the White Rock "Peace Arch News" on Aug. 13th/05.
The Brothers Bogaardt have performed in many venues across several continents, including CANADA, the U.S.A., and EUROPE. They''ve performed in numerous nightclubs, National TV Shows(CBC-TV), Radio and special performances for the Canadian troops in Lahr, Germany. They also performed at the International Flower Exhibition (Floriade) in the Netherlands.
Part of their accreditations includes an achievement for their original songs for a Film Documentary entitled: "Alberta on the Northside", which they recorded in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Film Documentary, competed against 600 entries from 15 countries and received the Gold Camera award in Chicago, Ill.,
As one of the Executive Producers stated: "The original music by the Brothers Bogaardt was one of the major contributing factors to the judges'' decision in granting the award to "Alberta on the Northside". (C.N. Ross)
Performances by the Bros. Bogaardt have always received excellent responses from audiences, club owners, and Radio and TV Producers, and wherever they performed, they were always in demand for return engagements.
Today, the four brothers, Ben, Bill, Rick and Archie have re-grouped to produce their own original songs, featured in their very first CD release, entitled: "Brother to Brother"
This CD contains 10 original songs, written, arranged, performed, sung and produced by the four brothers.

Born by Dutch parents, who lived in Indonesia, the former Dutch East Indies, the Brothers Bogaardt were born and raised on Java.
They also lived in the Netherlands for a short time, before immigrating to Canada.

Ben & Bill, experienced a most difficult childhood, since they were forced into the Japanese concentration camps in Java during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia.
Where thousands didn''t survive, Ben & Bill were part of the lucky ones, mainly because of the determination of their mother, who had a strong will to survive. Their mother''s recent publication entitled: "Dark Skies over Paradise" describes in detail, the atrocities the two brothers and their parents, experienced.
Written by their mother, Louisa Priesman-Bogaardt, the book is available through: Trafford Publishing: orders@https://www.tradebit.com

After arriving in Canada, they became Naturalized Canadian Citizens and they lived and performed in Edmonton, Alberta, for many years. Joined by their younger brothers Rick and Archie, the brothers play guitars, bass and drums. Combined with their rich vocals and close family harmonies, the CD features the magic of their voices.
Their music reaches deep from within, and reflects current happenings, from love stories, personal tragedies to up-beat "let''s get-it-on" dance music that will keep your toes "a-tappin".
Their focus is their determination to present their music to the world, with "true to life stories", which they''ve entertwined in their songs.
All four brothers contributed to the writing, arranging, performing as musicians, or as a featured vocalist in each of the songs produced in this CD, while also participating in providing the back-up vocal harmonies on the different tracks.
This CD features each brother''s different style of music, while at the same time demonstrating the individuality of their inner thoughts, and, ultimately bringing it all together as a family, known as, The Brothers Bogaardt.
