James Dean Kindle & The Eastern Oregon Playboys are from Pendleton, Oregon. Everyone of them was born and raised there.
J.D. Kindle has performed as a solo artist before but he found playing in a band to be more fun, so he recruited his friends Peter Walters, Brian Baird and Matt Van Sickle.
JDK & EOP have played in a prison (Eastern Oregon Correction Institute), the Crystal Ballroom, a rodeo arena (Quantum 9 in Helix, OR), and at private parties.
"Campfire Pop Abstraction" is their first album together. All the songs are written by J.D.. JDK & EOP recorded the album themselves. James Lavadour donated the album art. Nick Nash wrote the linear notes. There are guests on the album.
