"Life''s too short for compromises" is one of the most often used expressions by Cassandra Sterling. Therefore one shouldn''t be at all surprised that she likes to combine music styles without any rules. Besides tight Hip Hop/R''n''B grooves, she also loves rough guitars, and a lot of electronic sounds. Her songs are about daily struggles, celebrations of life, deep anger, and even deeper romances. Moods and emotions are very important, and they create the influences for her songs.
Cassandra''s energy is unstoppable and her power endless. She studied singing at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich. She went on to study the guitar, acting, as well as ballet, jazz, hip hop and modern at the world-renowned Iwanson School for Dance.

Cassandra produced 3 new songs and is currently working on new ones with Detroit-based producer Jimmy Ward. "What U Want", "How Many Timez?", co-produced with Tom Curtis (Nelly&https://www.tradebit.comatics), and "Dragonfly" produced by songwriter David Brownstein are already scoring high in online charts and triggering interest from top producers who want participate on her upcoming album.

Cassandra kicked off her debut international tour in Germany, opening for Oli P. in May of 2002. Since then, she has shared the stage and appeared on television with acts diverse as Giles Kristian, Prodigy, Right Said Fred and Dario G. She is slated to re-join Oli P. on his new tour, kicking off mid-July of 2004, and is currently in talks with the former promoters of INXS about a winter tour in Australia. In the meantime Cassandra performs regularly throughout Los Angeles at The Gig, The Joint, and at popular venues along the famed Sunset Strip.

She''s recently appeared in the new music video "It''s a Wrap" by Mary J. Blige and another for the band "Story of the Year" (Maverick Records), directed by Mr. Hahn, better known as a band member of Linkin Park. You will also see her in the up-coming film, "Be Cool" (the sequel to "Get Shorty") along with Christina Milian and John Travolta.

Among her idols, influences and inspirations, Cassandra regularly sites artists like Aaliyah, Eminem, Guns N'' Roses, Sade, Madonna, and TLC. She was more than happy when she was invited to participate in the music video of Velvet Revolver, formed by the former band members of Guns N'' Roses. Slash and Cassandra (both sporting blue streaks in their hair) can be seen on "Making the Video" currently airing on MTV.

Cassandra believes very strongly in the message of awareness, both of self and one''s surroundings, that she is bringing to the youth through her song lyrics, noting that most pop icons take their role and position far too casually. The International Library of Poetry has recently selected one of Cassandra''s poems, titled "Love or War?" for their 2003 anthology, "Eternal Portraits" and for the book "The Best Poets of 2003". Her second poem "I Died" was selected to be published by Noble House in the UK in the collection "Colors of the Heart".

She currently lives in Venice, California, where she visits the mural of Jim Morrison on her daily walks for inspiration.
