Details:
The East Bay Anointed Voices (EBAV) is more than just a choir or group; EBAV is a multi-racial, inter-denominational OUTREACH MINISTRY that seeks to comfort those who are disillusioned, depressed and disappointed.

This mix of talented vocalists and musicians of all ages come together to minister the word of God through song and to touch the souls of people who are in need.

EBAV has two co-directors who are also the composers of all of EBAV''s original material and largely responsible for EBAV''s unique sound.

Donald W. Taylor has been composing gospel music and writing lyrics since 1975. He became an acknowledged songwriter in 1978 in Okinawa, Japan where he asked Jesus Christ to come into his life. While in Japan, Jesus manifested His presence in Donald''s heart and since then gospel music and lyrics have become his way to express his personal testimony about the wonderful love he has for Jesus.

Donald has been privileged to work with Helen Stephens and the Voices of Christ, the late Rev. James Cleveland and the Voices of Integrity, under the direction of Rev. Daryl Coley. He has also performed on two of Rev. Coley''s CD''s and videos, "He''s Right On Time" and "Live In Oakland, Home Again". Donald performed on tour with Earth, Wind and Fire, and has recently performed with Jonathan Butler on tour in Africa.

Rachelle Rogers-Ard directs, composes, and is the founder of the East Bay Anointed Voices. She received her undergraduate degree from Holy Names College, Oakland, California, where she double-majored in Music, Vocal Performance emphasis and Sociology. Mrs. Ard also holds a M. Ed. from Holy Names, where her concentration was Urban Education.

Currently, Mrs. Ard is the Project-Based Learning Coordinator for Oakland Public Schools, and the Director of the first-ever Gospel Choir at Sonoma State University.

Rachelle has been the Minister of Music at Greater Cooper AME Zion church in Oakland for the past eleven years, where she coordinates six choirs and five musicians. In addition, Rachelle was nominated for Director of Year by the Bay Area Gospel Music Academy in 2000.

Under Donald and Rachelle''s direction, this dynamic ministry in blue performs original material that sets new standards for gospel music and inspires others to be diverse.

Nominated for "Best New Artist" in 2001, and the 1st place winner of the "Bay Praise 2002 Competition", EBAV is committed and willing to minister at any time. EBAV''s first project, "Caught Up" can currently be heard on https://www.tradebit.com. Their sophomore CD, "Our Invitation", is available for purchase!
