He mastered the dexterity and technical techniques needed to perform intricate classical works on both the piano and organ and furthered his abilities to sing, play the violin, guitar, trumpet, trombone, French horn, percussions, and cello. He later attended The Johns Hopkins Peabody Conservatory where he received his Bachelor''s degree with a concentration in piano and Towson State University, where he received his Master''s degree in Choral Conducting.

He provides private music instructions in piano, organ, and voice. In view of the increasing budgetary constraints within the public school system which resulted in reduced funding for music programs, Mr. Roscoe has devoted his gifts of music and time to teaching and mentoring to young people who are talented and may not have the opportunity to pursue their interest in fine arts without his preceptorship. He has not limited himself to just teaching students at Colonial Baptist Church, but he reaches to the community to bring young people into the wonderful world of music. His youngest student is five and his most senior student is 65 years old. His exuberance bubbles and splashes over all who encounter him.

One of his gifted students remarked, " I want to play just like him." What a marvelous testimony to the impact of a personal life than to have others desire to emulate you. Mr. Roscoe''s outreach to youth and young men and young ladies provide creative avenues that keeps them out of dangerous enticements that find many of our youth on the
corners or in harm''s way. His music mentorship taps their talents and gives them a sense of self worth.
