Back Into The Mainstream is the debut album of songwriter/guitarist Rick Hanson. He studied music at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, CA and is member of ASCAP.
In 1980 he had a garage band in Burbank, CA. This was the catalyst for two of the tracks on the album, ''Back Into the Mainstream'', and "It''s so Natural". The ten other tracks on the album were written between 1999 and 2002.
Since his garage band, he has toured the mid-west with an adult contemporary band, and played in an American Folk Music Festival during a four week tour of Central Asia.
During the six-week tour of the mid-west his band had the opportunity to play at a Miss Teenage Nebraska beauty contest in Lincoln, Nebraska, and in the Seward, NE town square on the 4th of July.
His favorite artist are: Aerosmith, Boston, Coldplay, Sheryl Crow, Hoobastank, Elton John, Avril Lavigne, Linkin Park, Sara McLauchlin, Fleetwood Mac, Nickelback, Pink Floyd, Rush, Train, and Led Zepplin.
