Details:
FX came together in 1981 to record. The band was guitarist/composer Baird Hersey, bass player Chris Bishop, drummer Michael Dawe. Chris and Baird had played together in many bands all the way back to college. Chris met Michael when they both toured with Robert Palmer.

The tracks for ten tunes were recorded including a very 1980s version of the classic "Fever". Aly Sujo of "The Leisure Unit", who Baird had also played with in 2 bands (all the way back to a different college), was then recruited to do the vocals.

When the album was released it was featured on WNEW''s "Prisoners of Rock and Roll". The station and DJ Meg Griffin picked the band to perform at The Bottom Line as one of New York''s "Best Unsigned Bands"

The music video of "Stimulation" was shot in 1981 by Woody Wilson at Utopia Studios and went into rotation on MTV. The video was a tongue in cheek send-up of living in New York City in the early 80s. The rest is history, NOT!
