History of band: Leon Youngboy started his apprenticeship in the music industry in 1988, under Cleveland WrightIII , from the group , Temper, known for their hit,"Don''t Do Me No Favors".
During that time ,he made guest appearances in music videos , such as Groove B Chills and the Canadian rocker,Colin James. He also made a guest appearance on the Cosby Show and Geraldo Rivera.
In due time, he finally came out with his first single and video, Youngboys, which promoted awareness of his presence in the Asian community and especially on the college campus.
The video itself premiered in the famous New York City club, Palladium, and appeared on public television on Ralph McDaniel''s Video Music Box.
It was then picked up by the show Asian Panorama and aired to the Asian Community. Most of the audience loved the video''s violence and rage.
Leon Youngboy then knew he was onto something and then returned to the studio with his new co-producer , Eddie Davis, Known for his production work on Hanson&Davis'' "Hungry for Your Love," to do his follow up, self -titled album , Leon YoungBoy.
This album has taken three years of his time to complete.
In completing his album , he has formed The Asian Posse, whose style and sound rival those of R&B groups.
