Love Gypsies consists of Walter Liskiewicz and Jimmy Shellberg. Walt has always enjoyed music and thru the years began to write his own songs and lyics. When he retired from the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at an early age, he focused on his passion, which was music. Walt met Jimmy thru work he was doing on another musical project. When Walt met Jimmy, he found a like-minded individual with a desire for creating music similar to his. They discovered that they had a chemistry and their musical perspectives and idea complimented each other.
Jimmy owns Sonic Landscapes recording studio in Jackson, Michigan and is a mutitalented individual with regards to his musical abilities. Jimmy has previously written and produced a CD of his own and has performed and headlined in various bands since his late teenage years. Each has brought their respective talents to this project to create this CD which introduces Walter Liskiewicz and Jimmy Shellberg, The Love Gypsies. They are currently working on a second project together and continue to make the music they love and love the music they make and make the music they love even better and better. Enjoy!
The song Rainy Day was selected to be on a fund raising, jazz complitation CD "...in celebration of life " which featues such artists as Tony Bennet, Miles Davis, Herbie Handcock, Mel Torme and many other jazz stars. The CD is raising money for breast cancer research and mammograms in New York City area. It will be released in October 2003.
The Love Gypsies second CD will soon be released here on CD Baby, most likely in December 2003. It should prove to be an outstanding CD which will really rock you. Songs from the CD Faces of Love can also be heard on Boom Bo Radio where the Love Gypsies are featured artists. The current pick that is playing is RAINY DAY which is a smooth jazz song. 6 songs from the CD will be played. Each song will be played for a solid two month interval on a daily basis.
