Dude Dude Chick is said to play every song live as if it were their last. And the reason for that is no surprise: Dude Dude Chick kicks ass like it''s going out of style.
Founded a coupla years back by Nashville native Daev Seezen and SoCal dude Ron Forbess, the band first formed around a mutual love of the Smothers Brothers and later around a propensity for ass kicking. Armed with accordion and a broken classical guitar to carry their intertwining hamonies ala the Everly Bros., DDC was rocking out at all the biggest parties and being asked by all the drunkest people if they only do this for themselves or if they also play on the street; they were also asked to cover "Wonderwall" or play some U2. The golden age had begun but was sure to not last.
Ron and Daev then split up and then got back together under assumed names: Jigs Watson on accordion and Bigs Jackson on guitar. Jigs also started drumming live but not on the CD, which is mostly Bigs.
Then they added a banjo player named Huge Jacksen. He''s not on the first CD but neither are you, alright?
The CD Nashville Nerdrock was made over the span of these first coupla years, and instead of bashing it out guns a-blazing like they do it live, it strives to stay the course in keeping the lyrics and arrangement in the forefront.
By the way, it''s also a CD EXTRA, meaning be sure to pop it in your computer to find all sorts of video footage and other goodies.
Dude Dude Chick resides currently in Dresden Germany and it sure is cold in the winter there, believe you me.
