Even an advanced synthesist would have to work hard to obtain such transparent, other-worldly textures and rhythms that will surely have you tapping your toes in minutes...no, in seconds, no, in nanoseconds... To Minan: "Quite some time ago, I bought, at Record Runner, (on Rideau Street)in Ottawa, a copy of "When I", which I am guessing must be one of your first CDs (it had a black and white homemade looking cover). Sometime earlier, I bought a cassette (that really sounded homemade) called "Wooden Bridges". Now, I surf the net, and what do I find... a web site featuring some new recordings I''ve never heard of until now. Last time I saw Minan in performance was at the Ottawa Beatles Convention in 1995. After that, she just disappeared. How pleasant to find that she is still making breathtakingly beautiful music. I am impressed...
